Outdoor Recreation and Parks

Outdoor adventure begins in Williamsburg’s parks! The Historic Triangle features thousands of acres of green space, making it the perfect place to get outside and get going. Families with kids will have a blast at our numerous playgrounds, sports fields and picnic spots. Nature lovers can seek solitude on wooded walking and hiking trails. And for those who move at a faster pace, we offer skateboard parks, horseback riding trails, biking and mountain biking paths, too.

The Williamsburg area is a water lover’s paradise, with countless rivers, lakes and tidal creeks waiting for you to discover. Swim at a sandy beach. Go kayaking or canoeing through the marshes. Or, take a boat out and spend the morning fishing. No matter where you explore, you’re sure to find fun.
